“The Big Bus is a decent way to get a high-level view of Rome, and for a winter trip (Jan/Feb), there’s no need to book in advance—they won't sell out, and you’ll likely save money buying on the day. We found that a half-day or full-day was more than enough time. Operations were generally fine, though we did have to swap seats on one bus to find a radio jack that actually worked.
